About SPP 2020

? The SPP 2020 (Cyclic deterioration of High-Performance Concrete in an experimental-virtual lab) is a program which aim is to capture, understand, describe, model and predict the material degradation of high-performance concretes using the newest experimental and virtual methods.

The desired results are developed from a close cooperation between the material science and the numerical mechanics knowledge, which is the interconnection of experiment and computation in the Experimental-Virtual-Lab.

To this extend, the measured quantities during the execution of experiments on concrete specimens carried out in each of the SPP-Projects must be collected and classified in a database to allow the interconnection and the exchange of information between the field of the Experimenters and that of the Modelers.

The database has been built on the basis of a previous survey with the aim of identifying the main parameters characterizing the experiments performed within the entire program. These parameters were then filtered and categorised.

The participants of the priority program have here the possibility to insert the metadata of their own experiments and to consult the archive. The archive can be also consulted by the modelers to identify the experiments from which to obtain/request measurements useful for modeling.

The SPP 2020 “Cyclic deterioration oh High-Performance Concrete in an experimental-virtual lab” is founded by The DFG, German Research Foundation
